5GENESIS special issue – Call for papers submission is open – Deadline: 30 April 2021

5GENESIS team of SRL, KAU, NCSRD, UMA and INTEL partners is leading a special issue on the journal Sensors entitled: “Experimentation in 5G and Beyond Networks: State of the Art and the Way Forward”. This Special Issue aims to collect original contributions on experimental aspects of 5G and beyond networks and systems.
The Special Issue seeks original, unpublished papers addressing key issues and challenges in 5G and beyond experimentation. Survey, review, and tutorial papers on aspects related to the above topics will also be considered for publication. Papers shall contain original material, not currently submitted elsewhere.

All submissions will be judged by their technical merit and relevance to the Special Issue:

Paper presentation at the IEEE 5G World Forum in Dresden

Dr Valerio Frascolla (INT) presented the paper “Handover optimality in heterogeneous networks” at the 5G and IoT track of IEEE 5G World Forum in Dresden, on October 1st 2019.

Two-day review preparatory meeting in Brussels

5GENESIS partners arranged a two-day review preparatory meeting in Brussels at Intel premises where they made rehearsals, discussions and fine tuning of presentations/demos.

Preparatory Review Meeting – Munich, Germary

The preparatory review meeting of 5GENESIS Project was successfully organized in the Intel-Infineon headquarters in Munich, Germany in the 5th and 6th of September 2019. In this meeting, 5GENESIS partners worked together for preparing the presentations and demos to be used at the end of the month for Year 1 project review in Brussels. During these two days, fruitful discussions, presentations, rehearsals and demos took place…getting all partners ready for the review day!

Second GA Meeting at Intel, Munich

5GENESIS successfully completed the second GA meeting, which took place in Munich at INTEL premises. The consortium members had the opportunity to analyse the requirements of the 5GENESIS facility, as well as a preliminary discussions on the facility architecture took place.
